Empowering a local Middle East supply chain player to go global

Creating a geographically curated digital website experience for shippers and transporters that enables them to efficiently post requirements, get quotes and register within the corporate ecosystem.

Trukkin Logistics UX research, UX & UI design

Lollypop initiated in-person and remote interactions with global heads at Trukkin to understand the entire ecosystem. We translated initial understandings to measurable insights that can be further utilized in crafting user journeys essential to the company’s operations. We conducted a thorough desk research of the market, their competitors, their USPs and potential improvements. We utilized our desk research learnings to present case by case arguments during the design thinking workshop sessions. Active participation and support from all internal and external stakeholders led to a successful documentation of the discovery insights, all mutually agreed by the business.


We then took the discovery insights documentation as an input to craft a design direction document. This persistent effort gave all stakeholders the right sense of clarity and direction on our approach and storyline during our ideation stages. In a nutshell, we defined our strategy forward towards approaching the business, user and technology requirements and our design thinking approach. From sitemap architecture to visual assets, we defined every element of the experience with extensive care. We ensured our strategic way forward was specific, measurable, achievable, realistic and time bound.


To make sure the brand’s presence reflects its capability of serving globally, we ensured that we created a design language that reflects scale, trust, capability and success. We also ensured our interaction design and visual design stages went through repeat reviews and validations from first-person users, as well as internal and external stakeholders. The end validated outcome demonstrates Lollypop’s capabilities of scaling brands globally, a legacy the studio is known for.


What we achieved from this project?

Our goal was to create a seamless suite of digital experiences that would echo trust, reliability and create a brand identity for Trukkin that customers across geographies could identify with. We also helped Trukkin achieve the following outcomes:

  • Quickly scaled and became the fastest growing digital trucking platform in the Middle East.
  • Recruited thousands of partner-drivers through the platform.
  • Raised capital to help fuel their growth.

What we learnt from this project?

  • Simplicity and minimalism were key to creating a functional product that could be used on the go.
  • Conducting extensive research in a new domain is vital to achieve desired output.
