BRIEF

SSBeauty, an offshoot of Shoppers Stop, is a beauty retail E-Commerce platform. A one-stop shop for all of your beauty needs, with the goal of offering a diverse range of exceptional products across multiple segments, for all ages and genders. It is not only an experimental, interactive and an inspirational beauty site but also a trend focussed, engaging and educative platform. By linking online presence and in-store experience, we created a truly omnichannel experience for consumers.

CHALLENGE

The goal of SSBeauty is to offer a personalized beauty experience, establishing itself as a leading omni channel player in the beauty industry. ShoppersStop partnered with Lollypop to create an interactive, inspiring, and seamless platform. However, challenges emerged after market research and competitive analysis.

The primary challenge was crafting a distinctive SSBeauty platform, setting it apart from competitors. Our focus was on creating a user-friendly experience, enhancing product discoverability, and simplifying the consumer journey across categories, all while prioritizing usability.

We began our research by conducting workshops and conversing with the stakeholders, in order to understand SSBeauty’s core consumers, their workflows, pain points, technical constraints and product goals and expectations.
During the discovery phase, we wanted to understand the expectations of the potential users, who all would be interested in using the products, and why they should use SSBeauty’s products over their competitors.

Define

In order to define the platform, we worked with the SSBeauty team to understand their vision and core competencies, which they want to communicate.
SSBeauty is a beauty retail e-commerce platform, offering a varying range of exceptional products across multiple segments. It is a true amalgamation of experimental, interactive and inspirational beauty site with an engaging, trend focussed and educative platform.
After thorough research, we successfully defined the problem statement, identified the consumers, technical constraints, pain points, product goals and expectations; based on which we optimized the current structure and designed a system that worked intuitively for all consumers.

Wireframes

We focused on scalable wireframes with keywords that provide easy navigation throughout the application. Through our wireframes, purchase confidence was built in the minds of the consumers by providing them with in-depth information about the desired product.

In order to make informed product purchases, a system was designed by us to assist the potential users. We wanted to keep the customers engaged in understanding more about the skin, hair and body products they can use.
