“Chóp Chéc” is an AI-powered web platform that helps Vietnamese students explore, experience, and choose career paths aligned with their strengths and personalities. By combining academic data analysis, personality assessments, and immersive career simulations, “Chóp Chéc” delivers a personalized, data-driven approach to career orientation that bridges education, technology, and the labor market.
Challenges
Many Vietnamese students struggle to make informed career decisions due to limited self-awareness, minimal exposure to real work environments, and reliance on biased or incomplete information from families, schools, or social media. As a result, they often face mismatched majors, low job satisfaction, and wasted educational resources.

In Vietnam, the career trends of university students reveal several noteworthy issues. According to a study by Vietnam National University (VNU), graduates working in jobs unrelated to their field of study often earn lower incomes than those employed in their trained professions.
Additionally, surveys reported by Thanh Nien in 2018 and Tuoi Tre in 2021, based on data from Navigos Group, indicate that around 60% of students felt their initial career orientation was not suitable after graduation. This has contributed to a widespread shortage of high-quality human resources among many businesses.
According to the Ministry of Education and Training and the General Statistics Office, in the 2023–2024 academic year, Vietnam had approximately 25.6 million students in preschool and general education, with an average annual growth rate of around 10%.
This highlights the urgent need for intelligent and scalable career guidance solutions.
In the context of rapid digital transformation, the Vietnamese government has identified education as a key sector in the National AI Strategy to 2030. Simultaneously, the release of national-level education data has created favorable conditions for analyzing transcripts and academic performance, thereby enabling more accurate career guidance.
Our research shows many Vietnamese secondary and high school students struggle to make informed career choices. They often feel unsure about their strengths and interests, while available online information is too fragmented or generic. As a result, many pick majors based on others’ opinions or misconceptions.
To address this issue, we asked ourselves a key question to define the problem statement and broke it down into four main approaches.

Targeting secondary and high school students, the platform focuses not on academic learning but on creating an engaging, game-like journey where users can explore their interests, uncover strengths, and discover careers that truly fit them.
To achieve this, the design features bright, cheerful colors, rounded shapes, and friendly illustrations of a cute companion character with expressive emotions. This playful, easy-to-use interface helps students feel supported and inspired, making the entire experience both enjoyable and meaningful.
Users register or log in to create a personal profile, then complete a personality assessment based on the MBTI framework.
The system analyzes the results, integrating national educational data when available, to build a detailed profile of strengths and values. Based on this analysis, the platform provides personalized career recommendations with clear compatibility explanations, building a scientific foundation for self-awareness and informed career planning.
Users enter an interactive simulation to explore real careers through realistic, game-like experiences. They make decisions, solve problems, and handle workplace tasks while receiving instant AI feedback.
Throughout the process, students can freely switch between different fields to explore various paths, creating a sense of freedom and comfort that encourages open-minded career exploration.
Completing the learning roadmap unlocks a skillset analysis report that evaluates each user’s strengths and areas for improvement. Based on the results, the system recommends suitable game levels for users to retake, helping them further develop their skills.
Additionally, users who complete the roadmap can earn rewards such as tuition vouchers from vocational centers or exclusive major-introduction videos from partner universities. This immersive process transforms career exploration into a vivid, hands-on journey, allowing students to discover their true potential and ideal career fit.
Serving as the central hub of the user journey, the Personal Dashboard provides a comprehensive overview of each learning stage, from the number of careers explored to the skills gained through simulations.
To keep users motivated, the system offers personalized learning goals and discovery challenges tailored to each individual’s profile and pace. A dynamic to-do list outlines clear next steps, while continuously updated career recommendations expand perspectives and inspire ongoing exploration and growth.
Recognizing that personality and interests naturally evolve over time, “Chóp Chép” features a dynamic Personality Lab where users can periodically retake assessments to track their personal growth. The system visualizes comparative data across different periods, allowing users to identify consistent core traits as well as new tendencies that reflect changing interests or matured perspectives.
This evolving insight promotes continuous self-reflection and adaptive career planning, ensuring each journey remains flexible, relevant, and future-oriented.
